In MARC's continuing commitment to public transparency, accountability and professionalism, we have made our core policies available below. These policies are far from static guidlines but rather living documents, that are regularly reviewed and updated. Only by fostering a positive, ethical and inclusive organizational culture can MARC grow and stay true to our mission.
Strategic Plan
Our 2022 - 2026 Strategic Plan guides our team's efforts and targets to ensure organizational sustainability, growth and ultimately the delivery of our historical, educational and natural mission for all.
To help foster a positive and inclusive workplace environment for everyone and keep MARC accountable, our Culture Commitment sets out the expectations from every MARC staff and volunteer team member and, in turn, what values they should expect from the MARC.
To ensure MARC's leadership maintains the highest standards, the Statement of Board Responsabilities documents sets out clear expectations and duties for all Board Members. This is key when introducing new Board Members to the MARC's culture, mission and the work that we do.
The Financial Policy is an overarching document directing our managment of all funds through the MARC organization. Ensuring MARC maintains the highest fiscal standards and public transparancy is paramount.
The Collections Management Policy directs MARC's team to uphold best museum practices in conservation, preservation and handling of our varied collections. It also sets out clear guidelines for our Collections Committee in the processes and acceptance of new items into our collection.
